This is the booking process for the association-supported freight program to transport boats from Sydney to Australia and return.
Invitation to registrater is initially limited to those who responded to the surveys, registration options will be expanded to all IMCA members from the 27/7/2026.
The final prices on transport will be determined once the boats return to NSW, but the anticipated max prices for freight are:
Upon registration, you will be sent an invoice for the deposit required to secure your spot in the container. Deposits will be set at %60(ish) of the max anticipated booking price for your selected option. To secure your spot, you will need to complete payment of the deposit. Once the boats return to Sydney, we will send through the final invoice.
For foilers looking to ship with wings attached, a second container is being arranged from Whoollara that will be optimised for this setup.
Freight will be predominantly via rail, with road transport in Perth to MBSC with the container available for access in front of the club for the entire event. There will be plenty of space for camping gear, bikes, spare parts, sails etc.
In NSW boats will be loaded/unloaded at the freight depot in Bringelly. it is a bit out of the way, but this will significantly reduce overall costs.
