Yes it's true; we are looking into holding the NSW state titles at Teralba Amateur Sailing Club over Easter 2012. Home of the newest moth fleet in NSW.
At the north end of Lake Macquarie, Teralba's foreshore is ideal launching for moths with lots of grass water front, no nasty concrete ledges or long walks out to deeper water, with plenty of car park space and smooth water in most conditions.
The perfect excuse to pull those boats out that have been sitting in the shed from the worlds, or to test the new skills you have learnt this summer!
We already have some very enthusiastic people from Teralba prepared to volunteer and make this happen, so let's get there and make this a great event.
At the moment we are calling out to potential sponsors for the event. The grassed area on the foreshore or large hall upstairs alongside the canteen is the perfect place to demonstrate your product, and the busy Esplanade road on the opposite foreshore provides excellent exposure for the moth class and advertisement on sails. There will be more directed emails coming out in due course to companies, but why not get in first and secure the naming rights! We are not asking for much, just a little to help keep entry prices down and enjoyment up.
More details to come so stay tuned!
